Transpacific Yacht Club is aware of several California-based training sessions, with more to be scheduled:

January 26-27, 2019 - San Diego Yacht Club

  • One-day Offshore SAS - Register Online
  • Two-day Offshore SAS with Hands on/ISAF - Register Online (use code "sdy" at checkout for $50 off)
  • Hands-on Only (allows participants to upgrade a one-day to a two-day SAS - Register Online
  • *New* Refresher Offshore SAS with Hands-on/ISAF (only requires attendance on Sunday (or Day 2), proof of current certification and will extend certification for an additional 5 years. Must have a current, non-expired SAS/ISAF Offshore Certificate.) - Register Online

February 23, 2019 - Santa Barbara Yacht Club

  • Safety at Sea Seminar Day 2: Hand On Training (only)

    To be eligible to take this seminar, participants must have completed the Day 1 classroom portion or online training module of the Safety at Sea Program (available at: http://www.boaterexam.com/sailing/safetyatsea/). Participants may sign up for this hands on training course now and need only complete the online module or Day 1 classroom portion prior to February 23, 2019. Attendees will be expected to get in the water with their foul weather gear, boots, and life jacket.

March 2-3, 2019 - Balboa & Bahia Corinthian Yacht Clubs (Newport Beach)

  • Two-day Offshore SAS with Hands on/ISAF
  • Open to club members only at first, and then Transpac Race competitors and the general public if spots available

PRIVATE SAFETY AT SEA SEMINARS AVAILABLE
