The crew shared their time with patients at Miller Children's Hospital Long Beach with Racing For Kids, the same group that brings other athletes to brighten the day of sick kids.
Skipper Bob Pethick and sailors from his yacht, Bretwalda 3, signed autographs and distributed “Racing For Kids” hats and photos of Bretwalda 3. The sailors also played with patients in the hematology/oncology playroom, and the pediatric patients watched a video of the Bretwalda 3 and its crew racing on open water.
